Asuria launches new Australian Centre for Delivering Employability Excellence in Practice

3 minute read

Leading employment services provider, Asuria, today announces the launch of the new ‘Australian Centre for Delivering Employability Excellence in Practice’, a strategic partnership with the Institute of Employability Professionals (IEP), to build and deliver practical and measurable employability best practice across Australia’s employment services industry, for the benefit of the millions of job seekers it supports into meaningful, sustainable employment each year, including people with disability.

By combining Asuria's on-the-ground expertise -- supporting more than 50,000 people into jobs, their own businesses, or further education each year -- with the IEP's international industry leadership, the centre will develop and implement best practice in employability, driving measurable improvements in job outcome performance across the sector.

Nicole Grainger-Marsh FIEP, CEO of Asuria Australia, says of the centre: ‘The Australian Centre for Delivering Employability Excellence in Practice is not just about enhancing Asuria’s services, it's about raising the bar for the entire employment services sector. By focusing on evidence-based approaches and innovative strategies, our collective goal will be to deliver a real difference in the lives of job seekers across Australia.’

The initiative will address key issues in employability services, including improving in-work support, enhancing employer engagement, and maximising the effective use of data to better assist those furthest from the labour market.

Focused on delivering tangible results, new research and early program designs will be deployed as pilots in test markets to gather actionable learnings and insights for industry-wide sharing and application.

IEP Group CEO, Scott Parkin FIEP, adds: ‘This partnership between Asuria and the IEP represents a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between theoretical excellence and practical implementation. The Australian Centre will not only benefit job seekers and employers, but also has the potential to influence future policy and commissioning decisions in the Australian employment services sector.’

With the goal of placing the first test programs into market before the end of the year, commencing on Monday 30th September, and with the potential to run indefinitely, the Centre will be overseen by a dedicated Project Board comprised of Asuria Australia CEO, Nicole Grainger-Marsh FIEP, senior leaders across both Asuria and the IEP, and chaired by IEP Group CEO, Scott Parkin FIEP.

As the Australian Centre for Delivering Employability Excellence in Practice evolves, both Asuria and the IEP are committed to sharing insights and best practice with the wider employment services community, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the sector.
