The annual Tasmanian Training Awards have arrived, and this year, Asuria is pleased to announce that we have two outstanding participants nominated for an award.
We’re proud to see Sophie Furphy and Holly Burn, two deserving Asuria students, in the running to take home the school-based Apprentice / Trainee of the Year Award.
Sophie and Holly have been nominated for this award by their employers for their commitment to their formal studies at school and in the workplace.
Undertaking a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care), Sophie and Holly received traineeships to work in their local nursing homes. Since beginning their placements, they’ve shown an immense amount of passion and promise towards building a fulfilling career in the healthcare sector.
Both ladies have displayed maturity and excellence in their ability to balance their schooling and work commitments, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
We wish both Holly and Sophie the best of luck as they attend the Skill’s Tasmania Training Awards Presentation in Hobart at the Wrest Point Conference Centre, this Friday, the 10th of September.
Organised by Skills Tasmania, the annual event aims to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements in the vocational education and training sector, made by apprentices, trainees and vocational students as well as the teachers, trainers, training providers and employers who support them.
The winners of each award category then have the opportunity to compete with other states and territories to become the best in Australia at the Australian Training Awards held this November.
