PeoplePlus Jobs Fairs to showcase local collaboration for better futures

4 minute read

PeoplePlus Australia will be presenting their 2019 Jobs Fairs, aimed to connect people to local employers, local services and local jobs. This year’s events will be again held in Bendigo, Ballarat and Sydney.

In 2018, the event brought together exhibitors ranging from local employers, government departments, employment services providers, labour hire companies, apprenticeship providers and registered training organisations.

PeoplePlus Executive Director - Employment, Tina Hewett said that the Jobs Fair provides an excellent opportunity for the community to connect and help to create better futures for each other.

“These organisations are interested in providing opportunities for sustainable employment for active job seekers in their surrounding communities.

“Our Jobs Fairs welcomes and encourages all to come along and learn from the best in the business,” said Tina Hewett. This event will feature a jobs board with current vacancies, guest speakers from various organisations who will share valuable career insight and industry tips, as well as light refreshments will be provided at these events.

JOB SEEKERS

Whether you are currently a job seeker or have thought about changing careers, our Jobs Fair is a great way to connect with employment experts, employers, education and training providers and open networks to find potential job opportunities.

Our Jobs Fair will provide people looking for work an opportunity to meet with local employers, hand out your resumes and discuss job vacancies.

On the day, there will be opportunities to connect and network with Vocational Education and Training and Apprenticeships services to learn more about internships, apprenticeships and traineeships and discover how to create the career that you want.

PeoplePlus encourage all jobs seekers to actively engage with the industries that they are interested in considering one of the best ways to meet and learn about employers as it is face-to-face communication.

Employers

Gain a competitive edge in what has become a highly competitive market, and our Jobs Fair provides the opportunity to make meaningful and early connections with high performing future employees. Tailored training is provided for candidates to meet specific business needs and processes, which is available to employers of all sizes and spans across a range of different industries.

This provides a highly effective way of building awareness for an organisations brand and offers the chance to showcase current or future employment opportunities.

It is also beneficial for employers to cut advertising costs as it generates a vast pool of candidates that are motivated and looking for employment.

Employment Services and Training Providers

Employment services in Australia are provided by a mixed market of not-for-profit and for-profit agencies.

Vocational Education and Training and Apprenticeships services providers support unemployed young people and others looking for skilled pathways to employment.

Join our Jobs Fair to promote the alignment of workforce participation strategies and securing the skills our labour markets demand.

Our Jobs Fairs welcomes and encourages all to come along and learn from the best in the
business.

Limited spaces are available, so please register your interest in this unique event to:

• share ideas
• encourage collaboration
• showcase innovation
• connect with services shaping the future.
