We want to introduce you to Greame Kane, a Business Mentor within our Self-Employment Assistance program, and share how his guidance is bringing the business ambitions of Asuria participants to fruition. With 30 years of entrepreneurial experience, Greame has been instrumental in supporting Asuria’s Melbourne-based participants in getting their new or existing small businesses off the ground.
Greame demonstrates a commitment to excellence, a positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile in his role as Business Mentor, taking every opportunity to go above and beyond for Asuria’s participants. Keeping a busy schedule, he organises monthly networking events, where 10-12 participants gather at Asuria’s Melbourne office to showcase their businesses and share their entrepreneurial journey with others. This initiative has created a supportive environment for participants to gain insights from each other's strategies and identify direct business opportunities for collaboration.
Wanting to create more growth for his participants, he also devised a unique opportunity for them to engage with highly accomplished Business Mentors of the Self-Employment Assistance program. During Business Plan Development sessions, Asuria participants can learn from a diverse group of proficient Asuria Business Mentors and implement their recommended business strategies to strengthen and expand their business plans. This has encouraged new ways of thinking, developed problem-solving skills, and contributed to new milestones for our participants.
Through his creative problem-solving and leadership skills, Greame ensures that the people he helps have the best chance at success in their small business endeavours. His exceptional efforts within the Self-Employment Assistance program have paved the way for the success of his participants and their businesses, making him a truly valued member of the team. Greame was recently honoured as a finalist at the National Self-Employment Association’s 2024 Business Awards for the Business Champion Award, celebrating his exceptional contributions made within the Self-Employment Assistance program, a testament to years of hard work and dedication.
